This is in reference to an opening for Solution Architect with a leading IT Company in UAE:

• Responsible for actively driving and managing the technology evaluation stages throughout the sales process, working in conjunction with the sales and support teams (Subject Matter Experts Team, Service Desk and others) as a key technical advisor for our solutions.
• He must be able to articulate technology and product positioning to both business and technical users.
• He must be able to demonstrate strong technical documentation skills and present these documents to peers and customers alike.


Skills

Strong technical skills in Information Services (data, application or technology)
Experience in developing and delivering process driven solutions
Experience in defining business needs
Good technical understanding across technologies needed to implement a Managed Service account (Service Management tools, data security, telephony, connectivity, servers, firewalls, )
Presentation skills
ITIL Service Management or Project Management qualification preferred


Solutions will be centered on:
• IP telephony
• Security
• LAN/WAN and Cisco technologies
Database management, deployments and migrations
Remote database management of Oracle, Sybase, Informix, SQL and DB2 UDB databases
Server and storage hosting services
Identity management solutions
Remote heterogeneous server, storage and network management
Fixed-price, packaged foundation services


Education and/or Experience

Four to six years of systems administration experience preferred.
Computer Skills
Strong knowledge of basic telecommunications and computer network procedures. Strong knowledge of computer LAN systems and telecommunications systems. Strong knowledge of PC"s, servers, routers and various software applications.
