UNIX, Linux System Administrator to work for Banking Sector: Job Details
An award winning Banking organisation based in the Abu Dhabi region is currently recruiting for a talented Unix System Administrator who has expertise with Linux to come and join their dynamic workforce.
Within this role you shall be carrying out the following job duties:
Database Administration:
· Proper installation & configuration of servers & databases
· Data transformation as per user request
· To provide databases/Unix assistance for QA/development units
· Maintaining database security
· Database maintenance
· Clearly-defined and consistent data to establish the needs of users
· Proper documentation for database change
Linux/Unix Systems Administration:
· To ensure maximum uptime and availability of Linux/Unix servers.
· To properly install and configure Linux/Unix servers for optimum performance.
· To document and maintain all operational activities for proper use of Linux/Unix systems.
· To ensure that critical data is highly available and protected against disasters.
· To ensure automation of routine operations.
· To research new products/systems and their usefulness in the current and future corporate

My client are offering a fast track promotion scheme, which will allow you to develop and move up to senior status very quickly. As well as working for an enviroment which poses cutting edge technologies.
To apply for this role you must posses the following experience:
2. 3 years experience as DBA or System Administrator
3. Good knowledge of relation database management system and administration tools
4. Must have a good understanding of systems and application performance monitoring and analysis.
If you posses Arabic Language skills this will be a bonus, however this is not essential to the role.

Salary is 24,000dhm per month (inc of benefits, housing allowance, sponsorship of visa, travel allowance)
