Job Description

· Responsible for the planning, preparation, coordination and execution of all activities related to the successful acceptance by business areas of the Technology deliveries (UAT).

  • Lead and manage the testers for the User Acceptance Testing.
    • Coordinate UAT execution and test script definition
    • Coordinate business areas testers
    • Validation of testing materials
  • Coordinate and manage the team activities; help and assist the staff in achieving their goals and objectives.
  • Plan team utilisation and allocation of team resources.
  • Provide Release management with:
    • Testing plan assessments.
    • Risks and issues.
  • Support business area launch managers by:
    • Informing of other project dependencies.
    • Informing of Technology dependencies.
  • Coordination of Resources needed for UAT activities
  • Work with Technology Demand Management to ensure UAT plans align with release plans to deliver technology into production, balancing the requirements for quality with speed to market.
  • Manage expectations and requirements from business users.
  • Regular reporting to Business Release Manager and individual change owners on progress and defect resolution.
  • Regular reporting to senior management on team activities progress.
  • Daily Reporting at all levels on UAT progress
  • Continually asses team performance and drive improvements in ways of working
  • Drive resolution of any dispute over functionality delivered vs requirements defined
  • Establish, resource and manage the activities and performance of a third party resource provider in place to provide additional UAT testing resource as required.

Candidate Profile:

· Engineering Degree, ideally Telecommunications.

· MBA Preferred.

· 7 Years relevant experience in telecom operators (preferred both mobile and fixed networks)

· Good understanding of major business processes for telecom operators.

· Good understanding of Business Support Systems, Operations Support Systems, as well as mobile, fixed telephony, IP data networks, and Cable or IP TV networks
