Accountabilities: Your job profile will include, but not be limited to, the following: Provide technical support to technicians in locating and identifying complicated faults. Allocate and control the work of technicians. Assist in execution of installation of exchange equipments and check that all equipments in exchanges are functioning correctly. Receive reported faults concerning software and hardware from customers and organise technicians to fix ensuring continuity of customer services. Ensure the exchange power is maintained at normal levels at all times. Ensure that faulty boards are repaired. Schedule and supervise all routine maintenance & corrective / preventative maintenance work for the exchange and associated equipment.

Competencies: Decrease time taken to fix faults. Decrease overall number of fault reports

Preferred Background: Bachelor degree in Telecom engineering or equivalent

Experience & Skills: The ideal applicant should have: 2 years of experience as a technician Technical telecom knowledge, and knowledge of the exchange system or should have undergone Qtel’s trainee / developee is program is required Supervisory/ Team Leadership skills Fault diagnosis & trouble shooting skills Coaching skills Communication skills Technical skills
