Qtel provides range of telecommunications products including national, international, mobile GSM, Internet and Cable television services. As the result of continuing organisational growth and extended service, we now seek Mobile Portal Quality & Test Specialist. Purpose: To be the functional test and quality control responsible the portal as well as to manage the device certification. Furthermore the role includes technical support when rolling out new services. The Qtel wireless portal includes several platforms within and outside of Qtel and offers the following services:
Context: This position will be in Wireless Networks engineering, whose task is quality assurance and testing of portal products before roll-out to Qtel customers. The role holder will be the main contact point also for ensuring the compatibility of mobile devices with the portal as well as coordinating these tasks with the portal vendors. | ||||
Accountabilities: Your job profile will include, but not be limited to, the following: Overview Holder will be part of the product development life-cycle of the Qtel wireless portals and applications and will participate as follows:

Problem Solving The role holder will be primary responsible for ensuring that the portal attains and maintains a high level of quality and therefore will be involved in all product roll-outs for the wireless portal projects. Communicating, negotiating & influencing The incumbent will enforce the quality policy for roll-out of products being launched and will oversee their implementation. Will develop presentations and documentation of the policy and will maintain these documents. To communicate efficiently the compatibility of devices with the mobile portal. | ||||
