Position Overview: 

We are seeking a specialist with proven experience in architecting and leading the delivery of solutions based on Microsoft SharePoint Products and Technologies and with a deep understanding of application architecture and development in the .NET platform

You will be responsible for consulting on, designing, developing and deploying Intranet/Extranet solutions and integrating custom applications where required.

Day-to-day administration and support of Microsoft SharePoint Products will play an integral part in your role, as will supporting the development and deployment of Web Content Management and Enterprise Content Management Systems.

Responsibilities:: 
  • Preparing architectural diagrams and documents.
  • Collaborating with development team to design, build, test and implement solutions.
  • Planning and implementing Business Continuity plans for Portals.
  • Maintenance and Support of Microsoft SharePoint related technologies and coordinating with infrastructure support specialists to ensure that all hardware and software configurations are optimized in support of the SharePoint environment.
  • Implement Best Practices and standards for preserving integrity, security and quality of the portals.
  • Performing impact and root cause analysis to aid in producing SharePoint trends and for SharePoint capacity planning.
  • Act as a subject matter expert and escalation point on SharePoint technologies and make recommendations as needed to improve functionality, performance, enterprise impacts and standards compliance.
  • Meeting with business leaders, management and technical personnel to determine requirements, objectives and constraints.
  • Delivering presentations to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Maintaining knowledge of Microsoft technologies and new Microsoft product releases.
  • Strong understanding of the syndication between SharePoint and Web Content Management Systems and Enterprise Content Management Systems.
Skills & Experience: 
  • We are looking for an approachable and helpful individual, who is able to promote active listening with team members. You will be able to work under pressure, use  your own initiative and display tact, diplomacy, motivation and perseverance. You will also have the following:
  • Excellent communication skills; Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
  • Should have at least 5 years of architectural / Technical Lead experience on the technologies listed in the next section.
  • Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 (MOSS 2007), Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 (WSS 3.0), SharePoint Portal Server 2003.
  • Must possess practical knowledge of SharePoint Installation, Configuration, Architecture, Site Template Customization, Site Definition Customization, Taxonomy, Content Management, Collaboration, Windows Workflow Foundation, Custom Web Parts, Reports, Business Data Catalog, Search, InfoPath Forms Server, Master Pages, Content Types, and Excel Services.
  • Microsoft Office 2007, SharePoint Designer, InfoPath, Project.
  • Experienced in creating tier architecture based applications and writing custom server controls.
  • Experience in object oriented application development for web based
  • Intranet/extranet/internet types of applications.
  • Extensive knowledge of Visual Studio .NET 2003, Visual Studio 2005, ASP.NET 1.1 and 2.0, Internet Information Server, and Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Strong knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server Database development using stored procedures and relational database design.
  • Well versed in web and database server management and security issues.
  • Candidate must possess knowledge in Windows Server 2000 and 2003, Windows Load Balancing, and DNS as it relates to the installation and maintenance of SharePoint.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows architecture, deployment considerations, and structured development methodologies.
  • Advanced skills in Word, Excel, Outlook, and Visio.
  • Demonstrated aptitude for providing exceptional customer service even when the environment becomes fast-paced or intense.
  • Good documentation and analytical skills
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem resolution skills.
