Accountabilities: Your job profile will include, but not be limited to, the following: Monitor problems and faults relating to data switching and customers. Address all technical issues and rectify faults. Enhance system capability by introducing new functionality. Ensure proper bandwidth utilisation and processing capacity of network. Handle all installation and maintenance of data network. Plan, organize and execute network upgrade within allotted time and cost. Deliver service to customers to meet time plan deadlines. Support/ provide input in evaluating tenders, technical proposals and vendors/contractors. Provide input in network design / architecture, etc.

Competencies: Increase number of customers Expand current levels of service

Preferred Background: Degree in Engineering or equivalent

Experience & Skills: The ideal applicant should have: 7 years of experience High level of technical knowledge and experience in IP technology ATM, TDM, ISDN, XDSL, etc. Knowledge and experience of transmission technology (SDH and radio) good understanding of various operating systems. Network design and planning knowledge Comprehensive understanding of new technology.
